There are lots of different remedies that claim to heal your skin, we use some different essential oils in our sugar scrubs to help promote skin regeneration and healing. But which one is best? Today we are going to go over four different oils and vitamins that promote healing skin! The four that help promote skin health is

1. Aloe Vera

2. Lavender 

3. Vitamin E

4. Witch Hazel

We will list the pros and cons of each of these oils and let you decide which is the best for promoting the health of your skin!

#1 Aloe Vera

Pros: Aloe vera is easy to find, this plant can be grown anywhere has a herb. It also comes in easy forms to use like aloe vera lotions. Aloe Vera has proteolytic enzymes that help repair dead skin cells. It can help soothe sunburns and irritations on the skin. Our Soothing Solution is infused with Aloe Vera to help smooth irritations, rashes, and sunburns.

Cons: It can leave your skin feeling sticky when applied, which can be a huge con if you need to go somewhere quickly after applying aloe vera. It always has to be in a cool place (direct sunlight can spoil is components), and it is recommended that you consult a doctor before using it as it has lead to the allergic reaction in people.

 Pros: Lavender is an amazing plant that can be used in many different forms. The plant is not only beautiful but useful. Cons: Vitamin E has a lot of myths around it of what it can help so be careful when it comes to applying vitamin E directly to injuries. It can be easy to use too much vitamin E which has been found to make scars worse on the skin, so only use what the doctor recommends.

Pros: Witch Hazel is known to be a great plant found in damp woods of North America. It has unique properties that promote the skin to heal, it also reduces swelling and inflammation! Witch Hazel can also help reduce oil that your skin produces so your skin appears less oily. Our soothing mist has witch hazel in it and helps soothe skin that has just been sugared! 

Cons: Witch Hazel does have side effects, it is only intended to be used on the external of your body. It can have some harsh effects if you eat witch hazel. It has been found to cause minor irritations when used in large amounts.
